Instead of random speed-dating or awkward blind dates, our new favorite singles scene in town is the Gourmet Dating event hosted by Parties That Cook. At the monthly event, guests get a quick cooking lesson then are divided into co-ed teams to practice their culinary skills (all while downing a lot of wine). This month's theme? Tapas, including blue cheese and pecan puff pastry spirals and spice-crusted salmons skewers with citrus dipping sauce. November 2. $75.
