Sponsored by an outfit called Parties That Cook, it gives you a quick lesson before the group is split into co-ed teams to make things like crab and roasted red pepper beignets or lamb skewers with mint pesto, all while sipping wine (which you're supposed to bring -- don't forget).

It was founded by a former Chicagoan with the delightful name Bibby Gignilliat, who also started a similar company called Gourmet Gatherings.
