Parties That Cook Turns Up the Heat in the Kitchen with the Amazing Kitchen Race for All Culinary Skill Levels

Seattle, WA June 27, 2012 - Parties That Cook®, the mobile culinary events company specializing in corporate team building activities and cooking parties, announced a new venture with Seattle’s Geoteaming. The two companies will host the first public Amazing Kitchen Race event on July 21st in Seattle. Groups, couples, and those flying solo are all welcome to participate, and cooking experience is not required.

Parties That Cook Founder and CEO, Bibby Gignilliat, explains, “We’ve been partnering with Geoteaming on the Amazing Kitchen Race for almost 2 years now. It is such a hit with clients as a team building activity, we knew we needed to offer it to the public.” The Geoteaming session will be orchestrated by Jo Fjellman, Geoteaming’s Strategic Partner, Senior Facilitator and Program Designer. Fjellman’s studies in leadership development, creativity, innovation and collaboration, paired with her love of food, make her the perfect person for the job.

Upon arrival at the Seattle Wine Outlet, guests are split into teams and embark on an hour-long, fast-paced scavenger hunt using GPS receivers to gather hidden clues planted throughout the outdoor course. The race concludes at the Wine Outlet, where points earned during the hunt translate to advantages in the kitchen. Competitors are greeted with an artisanal cheese platter and a beverage. Participants then enjoy a lively culinary demonstration before the timed cook-off with guidance from Parties That Cook's professional chefs begins.

As the clock winds down, teams will rush to plate their final dish and select a representative to present their masterpiece to the judges. All teams then mix and mingle while savoring the day’s menu of gourmet international small plates. Finally, the chefs will award prizes to the team with the best overall score, combining their Geoteaming and culinary scores. Guests later receive commemorative digital photos and copies of the recipes so they can recreate the dishes at home.

Singles, couples and groups of friends can find tickets to the Amazing Kitchen Race cooking competition on July 21, 2012 online or by calling 1-888-907-2665. Cost: $95 per person, $75 per person if registering a team of 4. Space is limited.
