San Francisco, CA (January 15, 2009) – Parties That Cook® (http://www.partiesthatcook.com), the nation's premier culinary events company, today announced February dates for Valentine's Day cooking classes at locations across the San Francisco Bay Area and Chicago. Classes include interactive cooking demonstrations, hands-on cooking with guidance from professional chefs, seasonal recipes, gourmet meal, plus free wine for several classes.

Date Night for Couples cooking classes focus on stirring up romance between twosomes in the kitchen. Working in pairs, each couple will learn to prepare a recipe with the help of the chefs in the kitchen. After the hands-on cooking is done, couples sit down and enjoy their romantic meal for two. For busy couples, a Valentine's Day Date Night will give them a chance to bond and enjoy a gourmet meal away from work, kids and the house. Newly dating couples will enjoy getting to know their mate better over a hot stove.

Cooking Crush for Singles wine tasting and cooking classes offer eligible bachelors and bachelorettes a casual activity that encourages mixing and mingling. Singles start off with wine tastings, then are grouped in co-ed teams that work on cooking up an array of gourmet appetizers in the kitchen. Lively music and conversation sets a party atmosphere as singles simmer and dice with each other. After the event, an email list and photos are sent out to guests, so they can contact each other. "It's a great way to meet people in a casual environment, and it's a different quality of women. Even guys get burned out on the bar scene. These were more like the ladies you'd take home to Mom, rather than just take home," says class attendee Akbar Starkley.

"Nothing brings couples together quite like the romantic language of food," says Parties That Cook Founder and Executive Chef Bibby Gignilliat. According to Gignilliat, Parties That Cook's cooking class for singles has not only matched dozens of couples, but also resulted in one marriage during the three years they have offered the course.
